‘Edgecam helps drive production costs down!’
Edgecam plays a vital role in Murray Productions precision engineering manufacturing process, especially when they carry out milling, turning or wire erosion work.
The company works mainly with aircraft-quality aluminium but also makes components in stainless steel, brass, copper, bronze and titanium, supplying components for the many of the top Aerospace, Aviation, Motorsport and precision components companies.
‘Extensive capabilities’
They provide a wide portfolio of high precision products including a range of cockpit instrumentation, fuel management components, electronic tags and helicopter transmission parts etc. through a variety of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, turning, thread rolling and pressing; Murray Productions’ products are subjected to almost 100% inspection, so it is critical that they are high precision. Their Matchmaker and BostoMatic mills, lathes and wire erosion Fanuc machines are all run with Edgecam. “We’ve been using Edgecam and its predecessor for 15 years,” says Murray Productions’ MD Warren Bell.
